For EBMA, it is only possible for a test to present a high degree of validity and reliability after careful item writing and reviewing processes, as it occurred in EKT. Nevertheless, EKT can count on modern psychometric techniques to ensure that scores are as valid and reliable as possible.

Standardized scaled scores are calculated using best modeling practices so that they can retain their meaning throughout time and be comparable between students, institutions and countries. The EKT pilot showed evidence of a high degree of reliability, with a Cronbach`s alpha coefficient of 0,9 and also a high degree of construct validity.
